A Powerful Tool​
Language learning is life changing. The ability to speak across borders is one of the most powerful tools our children can have. It opens windows to the world and doors to their future. Unfortunately, the journey to becoming bilingual usually is dependent upon the zip code or ranking of the school a child attends. Speaking more than one language is a critical skill for the future of our children and it is a skill that not only helps to unite communities but develops critical thinking skills as well.

Every Child Deserves the Opportunity
Speaking more than one language will be a critical skill for our youth. Language learning is a journey and the best time for the first step on that journey is before the age of 12. Sadly, only about 15% of children considered at-risk have the opportunity to learn a foreign language in their elementary school, leaving these children the least prepared for our global society. We aim to equip children with this priceless skill and create a global thinkers.

Maestra Green, pictured left with one of her first students, Donovan Bullock, started her career teaching kindergarten in a Spanish immersion school in southwest Detroit. After witnessing the ease with which kindergarten children learned a new language, and how learning a new language changed lives, she set out to change as many lives as possible.
